Lao Ban Zhang White Tea
Made from century-old tea leaves harvested in the Ban Zhang tea region, this white tea is meticulously crafted using traditional white tea processing methods—neither fried nor rolled, but naturally sun-dried. Unlike raw Pu-erh, white tea skips the enzyme deactivation and rolling stages, resulting in a distinct flavor, aroma, and texture. The key differences are as follows:
Aroma: Elegant and fresh, dominated by floral notes.
Flavor: Compared to raw Pu-erh, Lao Ban Zhang White Tea offers a mellower and smoother taste, with less intensity and sharpness. However, due to the premium mountain-grown raw material, it retains a richer and more layered profile than most white teas—a distinctive advantage of Yunnan large-leaf varietal white teas.
Mouthfeel: Refreshingly sweet with no bitterness or astringency. Over time, the aroma becomes more pronounced, developing deeper, complex notes beyond the initial floral fragrance.
